The IEEE CQR International Workshop is held annually with the purpose of bringing together industry and academic experts to present and discuss communications quality, reliability and security issues as they relate to real world issues. The output from the workshops adds to the community’s body of knowledge and serves to inform opinion and to assist the development of best practice and relevant standards.

This year’s program allocates a day to each of three themes.  Additionally,  there are two segments spanning the three days which will address Network/Communications and Topical Technology aspects as they apply to the daily theme.  In particular, new security and privacy related technologies which can be applied to the areas of the three themes are to be emphasized. Regular or short paper submissions in IEEE format from presenters are encouraged. The three themes are:

  • Telecommunications is a Social Service too
  • e-Commerce; still a tricky business?
  • Communications Now!

A description of these themes is provided in the Workshop Statement and Call for Contributions.

All CQR delegates are required to actively participate in the delivery of the workshop objectives. In actual terms, this means that applications for attendance will only be considered from potential delegates who offer to speak and present on a topic that is relevant to the themes of the workshop and who have the professional credentials to address the topic.
